Terms of Service
Effective October 4, 2026
Who we are, and agreeing to these terms
TradeGreen is run by TradeGreen LLC, a New York limited liability company (“TradeGreen,” “we,” or “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and TradeGreen LLC. They cover the TradeGreen website, the waitlist, the beta, our emails, and anything else we offer under the TradeGreen name (together, the “service”).
By using the service, joining the waitlist, or entering a beta code, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who can use TradeGreen
You must be at least 18 years old to use TradeGreen. By using it, you confirm that you are. We built TradeGreen for people in the United States. If you use it from somewhere else, you are responsible for following the laws that apply where you are.
What TradeGreen is
TradeGreen shows you how news events have moved stock prices, with every story linked to a verified original source. It exists to give you context: the “why” behind a price move.
What TradeGreen is not
TradeGreen is not investment advice. We never rate a stock as a buy or a sell, never predict where a price is going, and never recommend a trade. Influence reads describe past events: each combines the article's tone, how widely the story was covered, and whether the price moved the same way. They are descriptions of the past, not forecasts.
TradeGreen LLC is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner. Everything on TradeGreen is general information published the same way for everyone. None of it is tailored to your finances, goals, or tolerance for risk, and using TradeGreen does not make us your adviser or create any duty of care toward your investments. Any investment decision you make is yours alone. Do your own research, and consider talking to a licensed financial professional before you invest.
Content written with AI
Many of the plain-English explanations, company histories, and timeline notes on TradeGreen are written by an AI model from the verified sources shown next to them, and they are marked where they appear. AI can misread a source, leave out something that matters, or state something with more confidence than it deserves. Treat AI-written text as a summary to check against the linked source, not as the final word. The same rule applies to it as to everything else here: it describes what happened, and it is never advice.
Accuracy and honesty
We work hard to show only verified information. News items appear only after being checked against their original source, and when we don't have verified information we say so rather than guessing. Even so, data can contain errors or delays, sources can correct their reporting, and markets move faster than any feed. If you spot a mistake, the “report inaccuracy” button is the fastest way to tell us.
Market data and third-party content
Prices and market data come from third-party data providers. Prices may be real-time (when labeled “Live”), delayed, or as of the most recent market close; each price carries its own freshness label. Market data is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute it. Our data providers and the exchanges behind them do not guarantee the data and are not responsible for any loss that comes from using it.
Headlines, articles, and images from news publishers belong to those publishers. We show a headline and link you to the original; what you read on their site is governed by their terms, not ours. A link to another site is not an endorsement of it, and we are not responsible for what other sites say or do.
Practice Round (simulated trading)
Practice Round is a simulation. The $100,000 balance is practice money: it is not real, cannot be deposited or withdrawn, and no real securities are ever bought or sold. Practice trades fill at the prices shown on screen, which may be delayed or as of the most recent market close (each price carries its freshness label), so practice results are illustrative and would differ from real trading, which involves spreads, fees, taxes, and execution timing. Your practice portfolio is stored only in your browser on your device; clearing your browser data erases it, and we cannot restore it. Practice Round is for learning. It is not investment advice, it is not a brokerage account, there are no prizes or rewards, and practice performance says nothing about how a real investment would perform.
Early access: the waitlist and the beta
TradeGreen is in early access. The beta is a test version: it may change, break, lose features, or go offline without notice, and we may end it at any time.
Beta codes are personal to the person we sent them to. Don't share, post, or sell a code. We may revoke any code, or end anyone's beta access, at any time and for any reason.
If you join the waitlist, we'll email you about TradeGreen: a short welcome series, our newsletter, and launch news. You can stop these emails at any time by replying to any of them and asking to come off the list, or by emailing us.
Your feedback and reports
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or inaccuracy reports, we may use them to improve TradeGreen without owing you anything for them. Please don't include personal information in a report.
Acceptable use
When you use TradeGreen, please don't:
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the site or its data, or use automated tools to access it beyond normal browsing;
- use TradeGreen's content or data to build a competing product or dataset, or to train an AI model;
- get around the early-access gate, rate limits, or any other security or access control;
- overload, probe, or attempt to break the service, or interfere with other people's use of it;
- present TradeGreen content as your own, or edit it to suggest we said something we didn't;
- abuse the “report inaccuracy” tool, or use the service for anything illegal, including market manipulation.
We may block or end access that breaks these rules or harms the service or other people.
Who owns what
The TradeGreen name and logo, the site's design and code, and the explanations, scores, and other content we create belong to TradeGreen LLC. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable permission to view and use TradeGreen for your own non-commercial purposes while you follow these terms. Sharing a link or a screenshot with a friend is fine. Copying the site or its data wholesale is not. Third-party content (news, market data, and the names and trademarks of the companies we cover) belongs to its owners.
Copyright concerns
If you believe something on TradeGreen infringes your copyright, email us at jftradegreen@gmail.com with: the work you own, where it appears on TradeGreen, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them, and your signature (a typed name is fine). We review every notice and remove material that infringes.
No warranties
TradeGreen is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data or content on it is correct.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TradeGreen LLC and its members, employees, and data providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, trading or investment losses, or lost data, arising from or related to your use of TradeGreen or reliance on anything shown on it, even if we were told such losses were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to TradeGreen is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Some places don't allow certain warranties to be excluded or liability to be limited, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud.
If you cause a problem
If a claim is brought against TradeGreen LLC because you broke these terms or the law while using TradeGreen, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
Ending access
You can stop using TradeGreen at any time, and you can ask us to remove your waitlist email whenever you like. We may suspend or end your access, change the service, or shut it down, at any time. The sections on ownership, warranties, liability, claims you cause, and disputes keep applying after your access ends.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem with TradeGreen, please email us first; most issues can be sorted out quickly, and we'll try in good faith for 30 days before either side goes to court. Any lawsuit about TradeGreen or these terms must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either side may instead bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The effective date above always reflects the current version. If a change is significant, we'll also say so on the site, and email the waitlist and beta testers. Continuing to use TradeGreen after a change means you accept the updated terms.
The rest of the legal basics
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about TradeGreen. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours, for example if TradeGreen is sold or reorganized. We aren't responsible for delays or outages caused by events outside our reasonable control.
